What
is Shareware?
Please
click on the About Shareware
for full details about Shareware.
This site looks weird on my browser.
Mac Games and More is optimized to be best viewed on the Safari
browser or on Firefox. If you don't have it, download them for
free.
I'm having problems finding games on your site for OS 9. Do
you have any?
This site lists software for Mac OS X. (The reason is simply that
I am not able to test anything other than OS X because I don't
have a Mac that runs on anything less than OS X. Sorry about that!)
I just downloaded a game, and I don't know what to do next
to be able to play it.
Mac games are usually downloaded on your desktop as a .sit file
(or a .dmg). If it doesn't uncompress automatically, double click
on it, and it will launch an unstuff program. Simply unstuff it
(drag and drop on the unstuff folder). This will create an uncompresed
(unstuffed) game folder on your desktop. Open the folder and double
click on the game and away you go! If your Stuffit Expander is
on your dock, just drag the sit file over the icon on your dock
and it should uncompress.
Are these Mac games FREE?
The downloads are free to try and play. Some are free Mac
games that require no payment at all. Others are shareware games,
which are free games (demos) to try, then if you'd like to play
their non-demo version, which is a full version, you can purchase
their games for a small fee. Most of the games I'll feature are
downloadable but some are retail games you must pay for in-store.
Can I send you suggestions of games you might want to post on
Macgamesandmore.com?
Yes, I'm open to suggestions and would love to hear them. Please
email us.
I have a question about the game. Will you help
me with that?
No. Sorry. We cannot answer questions or solve problems you're
having with the game. (technical and otherwise) Please contact
the game company (the game authors) directly and they should be
able to provide you with appropriate and timely assistance.
How can I help you?
Please tell your friends about this site, and introduce them to
the world of awesome Mac games, game downloads and shareware,
and visit us often! The survival of this site depends on increasing
its traffic, so please tell your friends and family about it.
Please feel free to donate to Macgamesandmore. Simply mail a check
or money order to this address.
Thanks.

I'm thinking about becoming an indie game developer. Do
you know of any resources that can help me get started?
Here are some links to get you started:
PTK
Game Engine (make games that sell) - This is one
of the easiest ways to develop a Mac and/or PC game. Many successful
game companies are using this engine. See
the list here.
Forum for Indie Game Devs - For newbies and veterans
alike, this forum covers all the topics you will ever need to
know and more and is a great place for moral support. Check
it out.
Blogs - some developers keep blogs and post about
their trials and tribulations, as well as their revelations. Do
a google search to find some.
iDevgames - a great
resource for Mac game developers that hosts the well-known iDevgames
contest of OMG games (original mac games). Check
it out.
